St Philomena was a virgin martyr. Her parents were wealthy aristocrats who were friends of the Emperor. He took a fancy to Philomena and wanted her as a concubine. As he was already married, Philomena refused him and chose death over dishonour and sin. She is known as "Powerful with God" because prayer to her brings results! She was a favourite saint of St Jean Vianney the Cure of Ars.
This chaplet is made with high quality Czech glass beads and a full colour holy card style centre of St Philomena as well as an oval oxy relic medal of the saint with a 3rd class fabric relic on the back. A third class relic is fabric that has been touched to the body of the saint. A truly special bonus!
