The Chaplet of the Infant Jesus of Prague, also known as the Little Crown Chaplet, is a prayer devotion honoring the sacred infancy and childhood of Christ. The image of the Infant of Prague reflects the Lord´s incarnation, spiritual childhood and the dignity of both Himself and our own humanity.
Devotion to the Infant Jesus (under the title of the Infant of Prague) owes its origin to a Carmelite religious Sister, Ven. Sister Marguerite of the Blessed Sacrament. She composed this chaplet honoring the twelve years of Infancy of our Divine Savior, which received approbation during her lifetime.
The Divine Infant revealed to Ven. Sister Marguerite how pleased He was with this holy practice. He promised that He would grant special graces, above all purity of heart and innocence, to all who carried the chaplet on their person and recited it in honor of His Holy Infancy. Our Lord likewise revealed that those who piously recite it in memory of His abasements at Bethlehem, in Egypt and at Nazareth, would not fail to experience the divine assistance in their spiritual and temporal necessities.
Two hundred years later, in 1855, Pius IX granted an Indulgence of 300 days, applicable to the souls in Purgatory, for its devout recitation. This chaplet is one of the most highly indulgenced chaplets in the Church, next to the Stations of the Cross and the Holy Rosary.
Jesus promised special graces, above all purity of heart and innocence, to all who carried the Chaplet and prayed it in honor of His holy infancy. This devotion encourages you to entrust your crosses to the Child Jesus and receive the blessings He has for you.
This chaplet has faceted glass beads, a small ornate crucifix and a glass dome color holy card center of the Miraculous Infant of Prague statue.
Prayer leaflet included. Made by hand in Canada.
